- Comet fish have been around since the 1880s
- Can live anywhere between 10 to 20 years

- Most notable physical trait is its tail

- Typically come in yellow, orange, white, and red

- Mature size, with spacious conditions, will reach 12 inches in length

- Minimum tank size should be 40 to 50 gallons and an extra 50 gallons for each additional fish

- Stable in outdoor ponds, typically paired with Koi

- Water temperature reccommendations are 65 to 70 degrees Farenheit

- pH levels from 6.0 to 8.0 

- Water hardiness should be 5 to 19 dKH

- Like bloodworms, small insects, and larvae

- Feed twice a day an amout they can finish in 2 minutes
